Why Gio Dos Santos would be a good thing?

Word on the street Giovani Dos Santos has been linked to a move to MLS as L.A. Galaxy is currently in advanced talks with Gio and his agent.

Those have followed Gio since he helped Mexico win their first FIFA u17 World Cup title in 2005 agree that he has the ability to be an immediate impact player for any team that can lure him onto the squad.

Key Takeaways from the Mexican National Team Gold Cup Squad Announcement

As CONCACAF announced the 23 player rosters for each team earlier this week I wanted to share my personal opinion on key takeaways of players that will use this tournament as a stepping stone and others that should not have been apart of the calling.

I’ll highlight at least one player in each position:

First implicated FIFA scandal involving Mexico

It was a an exciting summer in Germany 2005, the first world cup "dress rehearsal" was about to happen. Mexico had historically the strongest team according to FIFA rankings. However something terribly went wrong during the group stage. After Mexico had upset defending World Champs Brazil, two players were busted for using banned performance enhancing drugs. Strangely enough, Mexico continued with the tournament finishing with a stellar performance giving both Argentina and Germany scares during the playoff run. The only punishment?

El Momento Del Piojo

After a disastrous crashout at the Copa America, Piojo has left his once "charming" status as manager of the Mexican National Team to one that is now in a serious limbo. Surely the focus is now on finding the reason to sack a coach more on his off the field behavior instead of the results that really matter.
