September 2014 Reflection

It’s amazing how quickly a month can pass and even though lots of work gets completed at the beginning of the new month you realize how much more work is left to be done.

As fall has arrived with an October heat wave in California, I can only be happy with the community that we are helping create here at The Aztec Warriors.

Here is a list of some of the updates starting with the technical as its my favorite category ☺

Technical

A letter to Marc Crosas

Following an instantaneous, nasty and harsh reaction from critics to the news of Chicharito being signed at Real Madrid I wanted to share a letter that was written to Marc Crosas, the one person who without hesitation stood up for Chicharito with the following tweet:

August 2014 Reflection

If you only follow us on twitter, then this post might not even be relevant; however, if you simultaneously follow us on twitter and theaztecwarriors.com you may think that the offices of Aztec Warriors shut down for the month of August to celebrate India’s independence day.

Aztec Warriors - July Reflection

Over the last few months I’ve been trying to balance work, fatherhood, husband duties, and the creation of the Aztec Warriors supporters club for El Tri fans. Put a 30-day soccer tournament, 10 day trip to Brazil, followed by a brother in law wedding in Mexico, the last few months have been fast paced with little to no room for relaxing and reflection. To tell you the truth, it’s been exhausting.

World Cup 2014, 4 years of waiting 3 years of planning

The HYPE

The last time I planned something 3 years in advance was at the tail end of my freshman year in college when I decided to change my major to Computer Science.  I wanted to graduate and land a job that would pay me big money. I told myself that I needed to be out in 3 years in order to graduate before the dot com bust.  Anyway, as much as I would like to ramble about my college years, I'll save it for another day.  Plus its better told over a beer. (Invite me, please)

Road to a dream

Hands down, soccer is the world's most popular sport, and there is no stage on earth more majestic than the FIFA World Cup. The world will be looking to Brazil in June and July for the ultimate gathering of soccer and national pride: the FIFA World Cup. Much like the Olympics, every four years the world turns its eyes toward this massive global event that honors a truly international sport and the fans and athletes that are proud to represent their country.
