Hector Herrera

Mexico has their roster set for November friendlies against Holland and Belarus

In the middle of the week the names of the Mexican players that will join the 10 Europeans in the November friendlies were announced. (see roster section below) A few familiar names have made the list and as expected more new faces are on the list as well.  It will be interesting who Miguel Herrera chooses for the Holland friendly as it will surely be the game that he fields an A team.  I expect Miguel using this game to show case a high power offense and what I feel will be the new face of El Tri.

In the Belarus match we will most likely see an experimental team with the A team players coming in to support as needed.  This team will most likely be the core of what we expect to see in the Copa America tournament. (I predict 6 players from here will make up that team)

I anticipate Hector Herrera having a major role in the Holland game.  The 24 year old is enjoying a great start in European soccer as he is making a lot of noise at Porto FC.  According to Sportsblog,

"...Herrera currently plays for Porto, and is a regular starter. After his performance with Mexico at the World Cup, he has been in great form and still is today, which has led him to be linked with a move away from the Portuguese Giants. He grew since his transfer from Pachuca to Porto in 2013, and he may keep on growing, as he is a young, and talented player."

It will be interesting to see who else will make up the midfield and if the chemistry will be as great as we saw in the World Cup.  I expect Jonathan Dos Santos to get game time in the Holland game and possibly start in the Belarus match.
