Carlos Vela, Real Sociedad

Mexicans aboard week ending 12-01-2014

In today's update, Vela steals the award for best Mexican abroad player with his impressive Hatchtrick.  Other good news is we still have a consistent group of players playing 70 minutes and above.  Lets hope that as time progresses the minutes played by each player maintains or grows as well.

La Liga BBVA - The Primera División (First Division) of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LFP)

Memo Ochoa [Malaga] - Memo Ochoa didn't get to see any action in the match against Real Madrid as Malaga lost 2-1.  And with the performance of Idriss Kameni, Memo's counterpart at Malaga, it doesn't look like the coach will have any reason to change the position at goalie.  Malaga's next match is against Deportivo on Dec 6th.

Chicharito Hernandez [Real Madrid] - Chicharito made it on the field in the 89th minute in the 2-1 win against Malaga.  Chicharito had a handful of touches and he didn't seemed too energetic to be out on the field for the final minute of regulation.  Real Madrid faces Cornella in the Copa del Rey tomorrow and against Celta Vigo on Dec 6th.  Media outlets are reporting that Chicharito will get the start tomorrow.

Raúl Jiménez [Atletico Madrid] - Raúl came on in the 58th minute in the 2-0 win against Deportivo.   Atletico Madrid plays against CE L'Hospitalet on Dec 3rd in the Copa Del Rey and against Elche CF on Dec 6th.

Giovanni Dos Santos [Villarreal] - Gio was not called up as he is nursing an injury.  Villarreal plays Cadiz CF in the Copa del Rey on Dec 4th and Real Sociedad on Dec

Jonathan Dos Santos [Villarreal] - Jonathan played all 90 minutes in the 2-0 win against Cordoba.  Jonathan was able to provide an assist in one of the goals.  Villarreal plays Cadiz CF in the Copa del Rey on Dec 4th and Real Sociedad on Dec 7th.

Hector Moreno [RCD Espanyol] - Moreno made it in the call up as Espanyol battled for a 2-1 victory against Levante.  Espanyol has a Copa Del Rey match tomorrow against Alaves and will face off against Barcelona on December 7th.  Hector is close to being fit and will certainly see some action this week.

Carlos Vela [Real Sociedad] - Vela played 87 minutes and was in beast mode as he scored ALL the goals in the 3-0 victory over Elche.  Vela is in top form and surely impressed his new coach Moyes.  Real Sociedad plays against Real Oviedo in the Copa Del Rey on Dec 4th and against Villarreal on Dec 7th.

Eredivisie - Dutch professional football club

Andres Guardado [PSV Eindhoven] - Andres played all 90 minutes in the 3-3 tie against Estoril. PSV plays FC Dordrecht on Dec 6th.

Jesús ‘Tecatito’ Corona [Twente Enschede] - Corona played all 90 minutes in the 1-2 loss against FC Groningen.  Twente plays Vitesse Arnhem on Dec 7th.

Primeira Liga -Futebol Clube do Porto MH IH MH OM
