LIGA MX - Jornada

Chivas 1 – 1 Jaguares

Las Chivas de Guadalajara contra Los Jaguares de Chiapas. A really exciting game. Glad to see players like Carlos Salcido, Omar Bravo and Fernando Arce playing on the same team. Las Chivas are looking to have an improved season after a couple boring and disappointing previous years. Minute 34 Fernando Arce scores a golaso de tiro libre. The power shot whizzed right by the confused goalie. Later on Omar Bravo has a clear chance to score off a remate but a weak header was an easy save for the keep. Thereafter, Julio Nava in the 66th minute scores a tres dedos shot from around the outside of the box to equalize the score. Eso pasa cuando perdonas. I’ve seen this time and time and again where a team misses an awesome opportunity to score then right after gets scored on. Finally, after the announcers begin to praise Carlos Fierro, a potential rising star player we will be paying close attention to, he subs in at the 80th minute. Carlos #21 EL GUERRO Fierro right away looks like he has a chip on his shoulder and is ready to take on the LIGA MX. Chivas was close to win this one and were unlucky that Omar Bravo missed two clear opportunities at goal, but a positive to take away from this game is that they look like they have young up-and-comers plus experienced players still yearning for glory.
