Chicharito situation is almost over

As we enter the first days of March, it’s safe to say that Chicharito’s inauspicious situation is about 90 days from arriving at its extremity. If there was a way for me to give Chicharito any pointers on how to proceed it would be to follow the lead of his Mexican counterpart, Andres Guardado. In my opinion Guardado has had a very successful career in Europe and in my eyes he ranks 3rd with Hugo Sanchez and Rafa Marquez taking first and second respectively.

Chicharito has had a very difficult time over the last 3 years and its time for him to move forward in his quest to become a leader and constant contributor to a team.  I fully understand the attraction of signing with clubs that are of prestigious nature, however its time for Chicharito to follow a different format.  One that involves calculations and guarantees that the will allow Chicharito to see continuous minutes on the field as well as a leadership role.  The great news for Chicharito is that all of this can happen in Europe which is the region of his choice.  He has to really sit down and think about the various offers that come to his table and also take on a hands on approach and look at the various clubs that are at the edge of being a Champions League caliber team.    For example, in Spain I see a Villarreal and a Malaga that in the next 2 years can make the jump to be in the category of joining the Champions League.  In England I see a Southhampton and/or Tottenham as well.

The great news for Chicharito is that the Mexican National Team has many games and tournaments in the coming months and Chicharito will have the opportunity to get plenty of minutes.
