2015 Copa America Chile

The second phase of ticket sales for the 2015 Copa América in Chile started on Wednesday, January 14, and Mexico tickets are already sold out.

Its not a surprise as the Mexican supporters are always looking for reasons to travel overseas to cheer on la Seleccion Mexicana however what does is that even though most Mexican fans know that Mexico is looking to play a B type team in the Copa America tournament they are still willing to spend the capital and go cheer them on in Chile.  I wonder what the percentage is in Mexican fans from Mexico versus Mexico fans from the United States will be.  Not sure if the ticketing organization responsible for the Copa America will be able to provide these numbers.  I do believe la Seleccion Mexicana will have a combination of European and Liga MX players as their is a large player pool to choose from and Miguel is known to have a good base of players from Liga MX sprinkled with European players rather than the opposite.

Miguel Herrera looks to focus on the Gold Cup in order to win the other golden ticket for what would be a playoff match against the United States and winner gets passage into the Confederations Cup in Russia a year before the World Cup.

Some early questions that I have, is will Miguel call up both Chicharito Hernandez and Carlos Vela into the same group or will one of these players possibly play in both tournaments?  Too early to tell but excited to see with Herrera decides to do with each team.
